AirDoctor filters no less than 99.97% of the corona virus (SARS-CoV-2, COVID 19) from the indoor air

Tom Tijssen

Today we are proud to announce that an independent scientific research institute has shown that the AirDoctor filters no less than 99.97% of the corona virus (SARS-CoV-2, COVID 19) from the indoor air!

The risk of COVID-19 in indoor spaces

Whether the coronavirus is spread via aerogenic transmission - via airborne infectious virus particles through the air - was already no longer a question but a fact. Especially in indoor spaces where many people gather, exhaled virus can linger for some time in small droplets, the so-called aerosols. This increases the risk of transmission. The extent to which this happens depends, among other things, on the size of the exhaled aerosol particles, the number of particles in a room and the degree of ventilation. In addition to ventilation, indoor air purification plays a vital role in reducing the spread of COVID-19 or other respiratory viruses.

How does the AirDoctor help against the spread of COVID 19?

Purifying your indoor air from corona, your AirDoctor is now guaranteed to live up to this claim! The UltraHEPA filter used in AirDoctor removes 99.97% of the live coronavirus from the air. Previous independent research has shown that AirDoctor removes up to 100x smaller virus particles and bacteria from the air than standard HEPA filters. The new tests now also show conclusively that AirDoctor specifically filters aerosols containing COVID-19 from the air. AirDoctor was tested in a test room with live aerosolized SARS-CoV-2 (COVID 19) virus and removed 99.97% of all coronavirus particles from the air. The study was conducted by MRIGlobal, an independent, not-for-profit research organization.

What does this mean to you?

By using AirDoctor in your indoor space, you can create a corona-free environment for yourself and others. Indoor air quality is not only threatened by the potentially present coronavirus it is also threatened by many invisible and, unfortunately, also harmful substances. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) indicates that indoor air can be up to 100 times more polluted than outdoor air. EPA warns for hidden short- and long-term health risks, such as respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. Investing in a healthy indoor climate is therefore more important than ever. By purifying the air in your home, office or school, your AirDoctor contributes to health gains. We hope that you are pleased with your AirDoctor and that your sense of wellbeing will increase even further with these new results.
